IT-Woofa utilises an intelligent movement sensor, activated by a remote control and incorporates a panic button for personal protection.

FAQ's
How does it work ?
The IT-Woofa uses a movement sensor with sirens controlled by a microprocessor. A remote control allows communication with the alarm via a radio signal. It also has a Panic button. Both units are powered by batteries.

What makes the IT-Woofa  special in preventing the theft of my laptop ?
It Works - here's why.
1. Securely attached. When attached using the special pads it is permanently held in place. Its patented limpet shape means it cannot be held, grasped  or twisted off the laptop.
2. Sirens. Attempts at theft , breaching security, or using the Panic button will trigger 85 Db sirens.
3. Visual deterrent. There are 3 warning flashing LED’s (i.e. lights) on the top of the alarm.
4. Audible deterrent.  Depending on settings, there may be between 1 and 4 warning chirps before sirens trigger.
5. Anti-tamper protection. Any attempt to remove the batteries illegally will trigger the sirens.

Will it secure my laptop in the office ?
Yes. If ARMED it cannot be moved or tampered with without tripping the sirens.
How does it secure my data ?
As it is permanently on the laptop lid, lifting the lid triggers the sirens.
Is it easy to operate ?
Yes. All functions are controlled by a remote.
How do the sirens trigger ?
 When ARMED, movement will trigger the sirens, as well as attempts to tamper with the battery cover or use of the Panic button.
Can the sirens be triggered remotely ?
Yes. Using the Panic button.
Can it slide into any bag when attached to the laptop ?
Yes. Its shape ensures it will fit any existing bag without snagging.
Can I also put one on the outside of my laptop bag or briefcase ?
Yes. It can be fitted using the 3 self-taping screws supplied, or using the double sided tape, or both. If travelling it is useful having a unit for the laptop and the bag.
How is the alarm powered ?
It uses 4 AAA batteries. The remote control 1 x MN21.
How long is battery life ?
Used 8 hours per day (unlikely), approximately 1½ to 2 months. If used less about 2 – 6 months. The remote control’s battery- about a year.
What happens if there is an attempt to illegally remove the batteries ?
The sirens will trigger. The batteries can only be removed when the alarm is OFF. When ON, attempts to tamper with the battery cover will trigger the sirens.
How long is the remote’s range ?
Range should be 5 – 25 metres ( 20 – 100 feet ).This depends on the battery strength and physical obstructions.
